‘Gabby’s Dollhouse’ launches national tour from Brooklyn Children’s Museum

CROWN HEIGHTS — BROOKLYN’S YOUNGEST CHILDREN will get treated to a visit from DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse this weekend at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. The beloved characters (including Gabby and her many cat friends!) have chosen the world-famous and architecturally-distinctive Brooklyn Children’s Museum, founded in 1899, to launch their national tour of children’s museums.
During the ticketed MEOWseum Discovery Days event, BCM will host Meet & Greet opportunities with Gabby and her cheerful sidekick, Cakey Cat, on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 26 from noon to 3 p.m. Additional themed activities will also take place throughout the weekend, such as DJ Catnip spinning songs from the show at the museum’s ArtRink. Brand new episodes will be shown in BCM’s auditorium.
“Like children’s museums, Gabby’s Dollhouse emphasizes social-emotional learning and showcases compassion, curiosity, creativity, learning from mistakes and the joy of teamwork,” stated Arthur G. Affleck, III, Executive Director of the Association of Children’s Museums.
