
Man robs woman at bus stop with scissors

BAY RIDGE – POLICE REPORT THAT on Saturday, Dec. 28, at around 2 p.m., a 20-year-old woman waiting for the bus near the 86th Street R station was approached by a man who brandished a pair of red scissors and grabbed her purse. He opened the purse and removed her headphones, credit cards and cash, before dropping the purse on the ground and fleeing into the subway station; the victim was unharmed.
The suspect is described as around 5’6” and 175 pounds and about 30 years old, with a dark complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jeans, blue sneakers and a black skullcap, and carrying a red bag.
