The Max Preps All-time Brooklyn basketball All-Americans didn’t sit well with Danny Lynch Jr., the Hall of Famer and former baseball coach at Brooklyn’s St. Francis College.

“Max Preps All American team, please stop with that absurdity,” read his e-mail to Scholastic Roundup. “Four players from Brooklyn. What a farce. For every player on the lists from California, Florida, Texas, Virginia, I’ll give you 10 players from New York City. California had 63 players? I’ll give you 163 players from Foster Park alone, worthy of ‘Max Preps’ All-American status.

“And you can take that to the hoop!” he said.
