
NYPD seeks man who attacked commuter aboard R train

NYC TRANSIT/84th PRECINCT — THE NYPD IS SEEKING the public’s help in tracking down a man wanted in connection with an assault on Tuesday, Jan. 7 aboard an R train within the 84th Precinct, which covers Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn and Boerum Hill. At around 11:25 a.m. that day, an unknown assailant kicked and punched a 33-year-old male victim in the face multiple times. The unidentified individual then fled on foot to parts unknown.
EMS transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in stable condition. NYPD Transit District 32, which covers the portion of the R line between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and 25th Street, is investigating.
