Firefighter arrested for suspected drunk driving

STATEN ISLAND — OFF-DUTY FDNY FIREFIGHTER Jean Negron-Davila, 36, was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

According to the New York Post, Negron-Davila, assigned to Red Hook’s Engine 279, was taken into custody at 4:18 a.m. after refusing a breathalyzer test. He was also charged with driving while ability impaired and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.

The firefighter has a history of legal troubles, including a 2011 arrest at a Staten Island street party where he allegedly assaulted a police lieutenant.
