BROOKLYN — AS YOU ARE, the restaurant in Ace Hotel at 252 Schermerhorn Street, has closed, Eater reported. Their last day of service was Sunday, having first opened in 2021. In June 2023, Camille Becerra, a one-time Top Chef participant, was hired to run the eatery. Brooklyn Eagle food columnist Andrew Cotto described the Ace Hotel as a “mecca of wood and art, glass and steel among the original concrete,” adding that the ethos of the borough extended into the eatery. As You Are’s menu standouts included pan-roasted arctic char, a short rib burger and original cocktails.

Several Ace Hotels nationwide have closed in recent years, including those in Pittsburgh and Los Angeles.
