DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — TWO ADDITIONAL SURGEONS HAVE BEEN NAMED TO CLINICAL LEADERSHIP at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. Luca Milone, M.D., has been named chief of General Surgery and will also continue as co-director of Robotic Surgery, where he champions providing patients access to the highest level of care with the latest technology. Milone has authored more than 100 publications and holds an approved U.S. patent for a robotic device designed for endoscopic surgery. 

Peter Einersen, M.D., is TBHC’s new chief of Bariatric Surgery and co-director of Robotic Surgery. Einersen, who brings extensive experience to TBHC’s bariatric program, is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients undergoing weight-loss surgery and is committed to expanding and enhancing the hospital’s bariatric services, which he performs robotically and with minimal invasion.

Milone completed his surgery training at the Università di Genova in Italy and earning the Italian Board of Surgery Certification, before completing his surgical residency at TBHC.
