BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — THE OLD SITE OF MAD FOR CHICKEN, previously Teresa’s at 80 Montague St., could soon be home to a new restaurant, according to the Brooklyn Heights Blog. A sign posted in the space’s window by Wurst & Durst LLC, dba Wildblume, says the owners seek to sell liquor, wine, cider and beer. “Wurst and Durst” means “Sausage and Thirst” in German, and the brand appears to be connected to a restaurant in Hamburg, Germany, according to the blog’s investigative work. It’s unclear whether the new eatery would be a sausage joint, or a different concept under the Wildblume name.

A public meeting to review Wurst & Durst’s application for a liquor license, among others’, will take place on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at 350 Jay Street. Schematics show 16 tables, 58 seats and 10 barstools at 80 Montague. The business would employ between 9 and 16 people.
