FLATBUSH — A 64-YEAR-OLD MAN was killed on New Year’s Eve after having been dragged about half a mile, according to the NYPD. Officers found the man, identified as Michael Foster of Fort Greene, lying on the roadway with severe trauma to the head and torso. EMS responded to the location and determined the man had died at the scene. NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that the man had been panhandling in the roadway near Flatbush and Caton avenues within the 70th precinct when a white Audi Sedan traveling eastbound on Caton Avenue struck the male and dragged him for approximately half a mile. The male then became dislodged from the vehicle but the still-unidentified driver of the vehicle did not remain at the scene as required by law. The driver has not been apprehended or arrested.
