Three injured after nighttime shooting in Cypress Hills
CYPRESS HILLS — A SHOOTING AT EL TIPICO, a Cypress Hills restaurant, left three people injured, sending two to the hospital in stable condition, reports News 12. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, and resulted from an escalation in a four-way verbal argument. The suspect took out a gun and subsequently shot a 37-year-old man in the torso and a 27-year-old woman twice in the leg, according to the NYPD. A third victim, a 38-year-old man, later came to the 75th Precinct with gunshot wounds to the hand. El Tipico is located at the intersection of Ashford and Fulton streets.
“Unfortunately, we’re starting the new year with the same crime as last year. We just need more NYPD patrolling the neighborhoods,” said local resident Omar Dones to News 12 Brooklyn.
