BED-STUY — THE POLICE ARE SEARCHING for an arsonist who attempted to set an apartment building at 100 Ralph Ave. on fire on Dec. 6, Dec. 18 and Jan. 1. Footage of the front of the building from News 12 Brooklyn shows fire damage still present on the brick edifice from the three arson attempts, which were all staged in the same spot outside a ground-floor window. Smoke wafted up to residential units on the top floor from the street level, according to neighbors. A police car was placed overnight outside the building from Jan. 5 to Jan. 6 as a precaution, but residents are still scared for their lives.

“I don’t even want to stay here, I’m scared and I’ve stayed over at other people’s houses several times,” said one resident to News 12 Brooklyn. “It’s not even home anymore … my entire apartment was smoky.”
