Police seek group of teens robbing teens
FLATBUSH – POLICE ARE ASKING the public for information on a group of five teenage boys suspected of involvement in a string of December muggings of other teens during afterschool hours in Flatbush and Midwood. The known incidents occurred on Dec. 2 at 509 East 16 Street, on Dec. 5 at 715 East 10 Street, on Dec. 6 at 1001 Ocean Avenue and on Dec. 19 at 1630 East 15 Street. Four victims between the ages of 14 and 16 were robbed at knifepoint of belongings including phones, wallets, jackets and shoes; one victim had the knife placed against their throat, while another was punched multiple times and injured in the face and neck. All the robberies occurred between the hours of 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
All of the group’s members are estimated to be 16 years old. The first is described as 5’9” and 150 pounds with a dark complexion; the second as 5’8” and 140 pounds with a light complexion; the third as 6’0” and 150 pounds with a medium complexion; the fourth as 5’8” and 150 pounds with a dark complexion; and the fifth as 5’5” and 130 pounds with a dark complexion.
