Group of women sought in attempted robbery, beating of senior
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – POLICE ARE SEARCHING for a group of four women or teen girls who, on the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 1, at around 6 p.m., approached a 71-year-old woman who had just exited through the turnstiles of the Hoyt Street 2 and 3 station and tried to grab her bag while striking her about the body. After being unsuccessful in their attempts, the group fled. The victim sustained minor injuries and was removed by EMS to The Brooklyn Hospital Center in stable condition. Police released security footage of persons of interest in the crime.
The first suspect has a heavy build, dark complexion and braided hairstyle, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
The second suspect has a medium build, dark complexion and braided hairstyle, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants and a black and pink backpack.
The third suspect has a medium build and light complexion, and was last seen wearing a black mask, a black jacket, and a black baseball hat.
The fourth suspect has a medium build and dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.
