MARINE PARK — More than 500 children from the surrounding community signed up to receive free toys at one of the largest Hanukkah giveaways in Brooklyn the afternoon of Dec. 30. The toy gifting event took place at the Hobby Box, a neighborhood business that specializes in toys and sports memorabilia, located at 2913 Quentin Road, in partnership with the Jewish Community Council of Marine Park (JCCMP).

Shea Rubenstein, JCCMP’s executive director, told the Brooklyn Eagle that his organization is all about community partnerships.

“We partnered today with the Hobby Box, a business that’s been in the community since 2020,” Rubenstein said. “The Jewish Community Council organized an effort for several hundred kids to sign up and receive free toys of their choice today. They are entitled to one toy on the way in and one on the way out.”
