Community Board 11 to hold hearing on new development

BENSONHURST – COMMUNITY BOARD 11 is set to hold a hearing next Tuesday over a request for rezoning that would allow for the construction of a new 10-story, mixed-use apartment complex across a full block of Kings Highway between West 12th and West 13 streets. The building, at 166 Kings Highway, would yield 97 units, 30 of them affordable, as well as 14,670 square feet of commercial space on its ground floor, and a parking garage. A second block on Kings Highway between West 12th and West 11th would also be rezoned under the proposal, currently housing an unrelated business.

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Health Essential Association on 86th Street. Documents related to the proposal can be viewed online, while comments on the project can be submitted online or in person.
