NEW YORK CITY — CITI BIKE WILL INCREASE ITS PRICES for short-term bike rentals in the five boroughs on Jan. 6, NY1 reports. Fees for members will increase to $0.25 per minute for both classic bikes and e-bikes, while the annual membership fee will remain unchanged. Non-members will pay $4.99 to unlock a ride, and $.38 for every additional minute beyond 30 minutes. E-bike fees will increase to $0.38 per minute for non-members. (Overage charges apply to any rider who rents a Citi Bike for more than 30 minutes.) These updated rates will also apply to Lyft Pink All Access members. A day pass for a Citi Bike will go up from $19 to $25 on Feb. 3.

The 2025 price increase will be the third time that Lyft, the parent company of Citi Bike, increases its prices in 13 months, NY1 says. Citi Bike is expanding into Bay Ridge, Kensington, Brownsville and East New York come fall 2025, the Brooklyn Eagle reported.
