Basement fire in Flatlands engulfs two-story building
FLATLANDS — ONE BROOKLYN RESIDENT WAS critically injured during a fire that began in the basement of a Flatlands home around 3 a.m. Sunday, near Avenue I and Brooklyn Avenue on East 37th Street, News 12 Brooklyn and Hoodline report. More than 60 firemen and EMS personnel were at the scene, and the fire was under control and extinguished by 3:48 a.m.
The FDNY’s fire investigation team returned to the scene of the fire on Monday to determine the cause of the blaze, according to New12.
