Burglars wanted in theft pattern of drugstores
DYKER HEIGHTS AND CITYWIDE — POLICE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS AND A VEHICLE that were allegedly part of a citywide pattern of burglaries at drugstores, the most recent of which happened within the 68th Precinct in southwestern Brooklyn. The first two incidents, on Friday, Dec. 6, took place about an hour apart, between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. in Queens, when an individual broke the front entrances while others robbed the cash register and took lottery tickets. They struck again on Thursday, Dec. 12 at two locations, but unsuccessful that day. The group of individuals then struck three drugstores on Sunday, Dec. 15, removing cash and narcotics from two of the Queens stores. In each case, the burglars broke and entered before 6:30 a.m. and escaped in a gray Infiniti sedan. The most recent burglary happened on Dec. 20 at approximately 5:50 a.m., when two unidentified males broke the locks on the roll-down gate of a drug store located at 8016 13 Avenue in Dyker Heights. The males then used a crowbar to break the window and once inside removed $2,400 USC and various narcotics. The individuals then fled in a waiting Infiniti sedan driven by a third individual.
