BROOKLYN HEIGHTS AND BOROUGHWIDE — Brooklynites will soon have a chance to prove that they are experts in their borough’s history. The Center for Brooklyn History hosts the Brooklyn Trivia Showdown on Wednesday, Jan. 29 starting at 6:30 p.m. This evening of trivia, laughter and prizes, which draws its inspirations from CBH’s collections, could touch on the ascent of Brooklyn pizza, the building of the Great Bridge, the route of the G train, perhaps of course the 1955 World Series winners; the real Brooklyn Dodgers. Hosting the Showdown is trivia master Katie Uva, an adjunct lecturer at CUNY and a research associate at the New York Public Library’s Center for Educators and Schools. Registration is required.

For starters: name two beloved Brooklyn Dodgers.
