Permits filed for 4th Avenue building in Gowanus

GOWANUS — PERMITS HAVE BEEN FILED for a mixed-use building at 526 4th Avenue, near the intersection of 14th Street and 4th Avenue in Gowanus, according to New York YIMBY. The 16-story, 181-foot-tall development is slated to include 99 residential units and 4,500 square feet of commercial space. The building’s closest subway is the 4th Ave.-9th Street F, G and R train station.

Joseph Safdie of JB Construction & Design is listed as the owner, and NA Design Studio is the architect, according to YIMBY. Safdie bought the site for $3,750,000 in November 2023, Traded reported.
