BRRR!-OOKLYN — ICY AND COLD “BRICK” CONDITIONS will persist into Monday evening, but temperatures are expected to improve during the daytime, nearing the freezing point of 32 degrees by the afternoon.

The severe chill passing over Brooklyn will clear by noon on Tuesday, according to News 12 Brooklyn, giving way to sunny and dry conditions in the afternoon, with temperatures rising above freezing. Snow is projected from late Monday night into overnight Tuesday, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. On Wednesday the 25th, the first day of Hanukkah and Christmas Day, the weather is projected to be dry.

Temperatures were frigid overnight and early Monday in western and southern Brooklyn facing the harbor, with the “real feel” ranging from between 15-16 degrees in Carroll Gardens and Williamsburg to a deadly 0 degrees on Coney Island.
