Mangione taken to Sunset Park jail holding Diddy

SUNSET PARK – ACCUSED CEO SHOOTER Luigi Mangione was incarcerated in Sunset Park’s Metropolitan Detention Center on Thursday night, reports USA Today. Mangione was extradited from Pennsylvania Thursday morning on first-degree murder charges over the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan earlier this month. While observers expected the suspect to be arraigned on the state charges leveled by a grand jury, Mangione was instead brought to a federal courthouse and hit with federal murder and stalking charges – placing the death penalty on the table. Mangione’s lawyer, Karen Friedman-Agnifilo, was surprised by the speed of the federal case, stating in court that in “over three decades of prosecuting and defending criminal cases in New York, frankly, I’ve never seen anything like that what is happening here,” and adding that state prosecutors appeared to share her shock.

MDC Brooklyn has held a host of notorious inmates over the years, including, currently, star Sean “Diddy” Combs. Friedman-Agnifilo is married to a member of Combs’ legal team, Marc Agnifilo.
