Body of 72-year-old man recovered off Pier 10 in Sheepshead Bay

SHEEPSHEAD BAY — AUTHORITIES RECOVERED THE BODY of a 72-year-old man from the water near East 21st Street and Emmons Avenue early Wednesday morning. According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call of a body in the water at roughly 4:54 a.m. on Dec. 18. The Emergency Service Unit responded and removed the body from the water, and EMS pronounced him deceased at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing and the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification.
