Cold temps expected this weekend
CITYWIDE – NYC TEMPERATURES ARE set to plummet this weekend, with Saturday expected to be in the 30s and Sunday to be in the 20s. An additional windchill will push Sunday’s “real-feel” down into the teens, according to a meteorologist who spoke to Gothamist. Snow is also possible starting on Friday night into Saturday morning, although it’s unlikely to stick around for long.
Temperatures will rise back into the 40s next week, though, with rain predicted for the 25th: “No ‘White Christmas,’ unfortunately, looks to be in the cards, at least right now for the city,” meteorologist Dominic Ramunni told Gothamist. “Historically, it’s about a 1 in 6 chance, and it’s been several years now since we’ve had one. But we’ll try again next year, hopefully.”
