CITYWIDE — AS THE HOLIDAYS ROUND the corner, two Amazon warehouse facilities, the JFK8 warehouse in Staten Island and the DBK4 last-stop logistics facility in Queens, are gearing up to convene a work stoppage on Sunday if Amazon does not reach an agreement with the Teamsters by Sunday. The New York Post reports that workers at the two sites voted last week to authorize the strike. If the strike begins, it is anticipated that package delivery will be impacted across the five boroughs.

“Amazon is pushing its workers closer to the picket line by failing to show them the respect they have earned,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien in a statement on X on Dec. 13.
