The Brooklyn Women’s Bar Association (BWBA) turned holiday cheer into a force for good during its annual Holiday Party at Brooklyn Law School’s Forchelli Center on Dec. 3. The festive evening, hosted by BWBA President Hon. Cenceria Edwards, was marked by generosity, camaraderie, and charitable giving.
Guests were encouraged to bring unwrapped toys or new children’s coats, which will be donated to families in need. In addition, a lively raffle featured prizes ranging from Apple products to sports tickets and specialty gift baskets, with proceeds benefiting the Safe Homes Project of Brooklyn.
For more than 40 years, the Safe Homes Project, part of Good Shepherd Services, has provided critical support to survivors of domestic and partner violence in New York City. The organization offers a hotline, counseling, safety planning, and targeted services for Spanish speakers, youth, and LGBTQ survivors.
The raffle raised funds to support Safe Homes’ mission of providing comprehensive services and advocacy for survivors, making the BWBA’s holiday tradition a meaningful one for Brooklyn families.
