Brooklyn Children’s Museum to celebrate 125th anniversary
CROWN HEIGHTS – THE BROOKLYN CHILDREN’S Museum will mark its 125th anniversary on Monday, Dec. 16, and is hosting a weekend of free admission for kids, caregivers and families to celebrate. Founded in 1899, the BCM was the world’s first museum designed just for children, and it has entertained and educated generations of Brooklynites over the years. On the museum’s birthday weekend, Saturday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Dec. 22, admission and all programs will be free, with the exception of a $5 charge for the ArtRink exhibition. The museum is also offering fun extra experiences for the occasion, including a disco party, animal programs, art workshops, music, giveaways and more.
Admission is free, but the party will be popular, so the museum is encouraging RSVPs online on its website ahead of time. Day-of walk-ins are also allowed.
