MTA cleaner accused of slashing man at Atlantic Ave early Monday

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN — AROUND 1:45 A.M. MONDAY, an MTA worker was cleaning a subway platform at Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center with a chemical solution, when he spilled the solution onto a 47-year-old man sleeping on a bench, according to police and News 12 Brooklyn. The two entered into a dispute, culminating in the MTA worker allegedly pulling out a knife and slashing the 47-year-old in the left eye.

The MTA worker was arrested, and the sleeping man was taken to receive medical care. He is in stable condition.
