Police questioning suspect in murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson
ALTOONA, PA. — POLICE ARE HOLDING a man in Altoona, Pennsylvania, for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan, according to numerous outlets including ABC and NBC. The suspect was stopped with fake IDs and a gun similar to the one used in the assassination-style killing. The NYPD is sending detectives to Altoona, news sources said. Police stopped a person traveling by bus and recovered a suppressor and a number of false IDs, NBC outlet KCRS reported.
The suspect, 26, was arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona after an employee thought he looked like the wanted man and called police, CNN reported.
