DOT to launch expansion of Brooklyn’s LockerNYC stock
BROOKLYN — THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HAS ANNOUNCED an expansion of LockerNYC, a secure public delivery locker program, with new locations across Brooklyn, reports BK Reader. The initiative aims to reduce package theft and delivery congestion during the holiday season by using public streetside locker boxes, as well as an expanded partnership with the company GoLocker.
New lockers have been added in Prospect Heights at 500 St. Marks Ave. and Bedford-Stuyvesant at 241 Taaffe Pl., joining existing sites in Canarsie, East Flatbush and Bushwick. More information can be found online on the NYC DOT’s website.
