PROSPECT PARK — THE EENDA-LUNAAPEEWAHKIING Indigenous Culture Fair is coming to Prospect Park’s Picnic House this Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., reports BK Reader. The fair, developed by the Prospect Park Alliance, the Eenda-Lunaapeewahkiing Collective and the American Indian Community House, features performances and artwork from the Lenape people, as well as other Indigenous groups. Attractions will include music, drumming and dancing by the Red Blanket Singers at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on both days, as well as Indigenous artisan and food vendors, corn husk-making workshops, and other activities.

The fair is funded by the American Indian Community House and NYC Council Speaker Adrienne E. Adams pursuant to the ReImagine Lefferts Initiative, which seeks to broaden the Lefferts Historic House Museum’s scope to include the stories of enslaved and Indigenous people who once lived on the land. More information can be found online on the Prospect Park Alliance’s website.
