Two Brooklyn Family Court judges have been appointed to leadership positions in New York City, while the borough welcomes a new supervising judge, marking a significant transition in judicial leadership.

Judge Ben Darvil Jr., a long-serving Brooklyn Family Court judge, has been named supervising judge of Staten Island Family Court. He succeeds Judge Alison M. Hamanjian, who is taking over as supervising judge of Bronx Family Court.

Judge Alicea Elloras-Ally, also from Brooklyn Family Court, will become the supervising judge in Queens Family Court. She replaces Judge Gilbert Taylor, who has been appointed supervising judge of Kings County Family Court.

These changes were announced by Deputy Chief Administrative Judge Adam Silvera and New York City Family Court Administrative Judge Anne-Marie Jolly in a memo distributed to court staff earlier this week.
