Brooklyn 11-year-old becomes a New York Ranger for a day
MANHATTAN – BROOKLYNITE VINCENT Gagliano, 11, got to experience life as a New York Ranger on the ice at Madison Square Garden, as part of MSG’s “Garden of Dreams” night on Monday. Gagliano was an honorary starter for the game, and signed a special one-day contract before joining the Rangers’ starting lineup and sitting with players on the bench. Gagliano also went to meet-and-greets, with players including Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox and Will Cuylle, along with Zamboni rides, as part of the night’s activities, which were facilitated by Make-A-Wish Metro NY.
Gagliano, as well as his brother, suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances.
