Police seek youth after shots fired at Jay St-MetroTech
DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN – POLICE ARE SEARCHING for an unidentified male suspect after a gunshot incident at the Jay Street-MetroTech subway station in Downtown Brooklyn on Monday shortly after noon, reports the Daily News. Police said the shot was fired after two groups of young men got into a confrontation near the station’s turnstiles; no one was struck by the bullet and no injuries were reported.
Police said the suspect is male, between the ages of 16 and 20, with a dark complexion and braided hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black hoodie.
The incident comes as new Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch vowed to crack down on repeat offenders and subway crime on Monday.
