NATIONWIDE — A RECALL ON ORGANIC CARROTS sold in many supermarket chains around the U.S. has been expanded to include additional package sizes, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration has announced. Products from Grimmway Farms, including  Bunny Luv: 50-lb packages, Cal-Organic: 15-lb and 50-lb bags and Good & Gather 1-lb. bags were added on Nov. 21. Additional recalls are being conducted by companies that used or repackaged recalled carrots that may have been supplied by Grimmway Farms. Although these have expiration dates that would have expired and are no longer for sale, the products could still be in consumers’ freezers or refrigerators.  A full list of the recalled carrot product is available on the FDA’s website.

The original recall of organic carrots involved several brands sold at stores like Sprouts, Trader Joe’s and Wegman’s, the latter two having locations in Brooklyn.
