Comedy fans, don’t miss Emmy-winning comedian Jerrod Carmichael as he takes the stage for an intimate night of laughs. Known for his acclaimed HBO Max special “Rothaniel” and starring in the “Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show,” this performance promises sharp wit and unforgettable humor.
General Admission tickets are available for $25 general admission, and this event will be phone-free, ensuring a distraction-free experience. Upon arrival, devices will be secured in Yondr pouches, which guests can access in designated phone use areas if needed.
“The comic’s most recent project was Max’s Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, which premiered on March 29, 2024. Jerrod described it to Esquire in an April 1, 2024, interview as ‘a raw, uncensored, hilarious look into my complicated relationship with my homophobic family, my insane sex life, and my unlikely best friend.’” — Beth Shilliday, Life & Style
Jerrod Carmichael has never shied away from what he calls ‘uncomfortable truths.’ … Following up his Emmy-winning 2022 comedy special Rothaniel, in which he came out as gay and opened up about fraught familial relationships, his new eight-episode project with HBO is aptly titled The Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show.” — Benjamin Lindsay, The Wrap
We Are Your Robots @ Theatre For a New Audience
Theatre, Musicals
Theatre For a New Audience, 262 Ashland Pl, Fort Greene
Performances through Dec. 8
“We Are Your Robots” is a clever new musical that delves into humanity’s relationship with technology, exploring what happens when a group of robots challenges the audience to reflect on what they truly want from their machines.
Written by Obie-winning playwright Ethan Lipton and directed by two-time Tony nominee Leigh Silverman, the show holds an 80-minute runtime with no intermission.
“‘We Are Your Robots’ reunites Lipton with two-time Tony-nominated director Leigh Silverman. Lipton and Silverman’s previous collaborations include ‘Tumacho,’ ‘The Outer Space,’ and ‘No Place to Go.’ In ‘We Are Your Robots,’ Ethan Lipton and his orchestra take on the roles of four robots exploring the relationship between humans and our machines.” — Linda Buchwald, Theatre Mania
“Having dipped his toe into science fiction in his 2017 song cycle The Outer Space, the singular musical storyteller Ethan Lipton now applies his very human smarts to the question of artificial intelligence, playfully investigating the ways in which robots reflect our own flaws and values. He is joined as usual by Vito Dieterle on sax, Eben Levy on guitar and Ian Riggs on bass; longtime collaborator Leigh Silverman (Suffs) directs.” — Time Out

Wrap up your weekend with laughter at Halyards in Carroll Gardens, where top comedians take the stage every Sunday. With a fresh lineup each week, this comedy night promises nonstop laughs.
The show features Neema Naz, Naomi Karvani, Caitlin Reese, Naveed Mahub, Paula Leon and more. Typically, doors are at 7 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. showtime. Lineups are subject to change, so come early, grab a seat and enjoy!
“Stopped in here on a whim one night after a concert in Prospect Park. Really, very cute. Somewhat of an industrial appearance, but we were served right away and headed to the billiards table. We played a few games without interruption, and had a blast. Lots of laughs and they play great music. Definitely a go to for a calm, relaxed, friendly place to get a few drinks and possibly even make a few new friends.” — Mae. P, TripAdvisor
“The bartender was friendly and made great small talk while he made my drink. The indoor space is much larger than what you see when you initially enter Halyards, and the back area includes a pool table and a room with smaller tables. There is also an outdoor seating area with picnic benches making it a great spot for group meet-ups. If you’re in the area I would definitely recommend Halyards!” — Melanie C., Yelp
