Brooklyn Cat Cafe to host Winter Art Benefit on Dec. 5
BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — THE FELINE-THEMED Brooklyn Cat Cafe at 76 Montague Street will be launching its first-ever Winter Art Benefit on Thursday, Dec. 5 with an opening night bash, which will feature cat-oriented art and accessories for sale. The show includes dozens of works contributed by more than 50 artists, which will be displayed at the cafe until Dec. 16 and can be purchased by guests.
The cat cafe offers guests a chance to play with adoptable kitties, while the affiliated Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition’s Rescue Clinic provides vaccinations and low-cost spay/neuter services, with over 1,800 pets spayed and neutered since 2020. Organizers hope to raise $10,000 to benefit the clinic and cafe, according to the Brooklyn Heights Blog.
The show’s opening night will take place on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $150 and include small bites, drinks and raffle entry for prizes like ceramics and a private kitten party. Interested donors can also purchase a preorderable benefit book featuring the show’s works and more. More information can be found online on the cafe’s website.
