BUSHWICK — AN UNLUCKY SHEPHERD lost their sheep in Bushwick on Friday afternoon, when a video of men chasing a herd of six sheep on a residential street went viral on social media, reports Patch. The origin of the animals and why they escaped was unclear, but some speculated they may have come from a nearby animal market and butcher with previous violations. The herd was seen running in a seemingly frightened fashion on Weirfield Street between Wyckoff and Irving avenues. According to Eagle reportage, in 2018, a herd of 20 goats escaped from a slaughterhouse in Bushwick at the same address.

Bushwick resident Cole Horton spoke to Patch: “I was eating lunch when I heard shouting coming from outside … The sheep did not seem thrilled or particularly cooperative, and after they reached the end of the street, they split up and started running back and forth down the block for about [five] minutes.”
