A 43-year-old man has been sentenced to seven years in prison on Friday for a series of violent robberies in Brooklyn, including three attacks since the first of the year.

Dupreme Williams, of Far Rockaway, admitted to assaulting a 50-year-old woman near Flatbush Avenue Extension and Fleet Street on Feb. 13, 2024, stealing her AirPods after striking her multiple times.

Later that morning, he targeted a 73-year-old man on a southbound F train at York Street, punching him and taking his cellphone before fleeing.

On March 8, 2024, Williams struck again, punching a man in the face in front of 2135 Pitkin Ave. After an investigation, Williams was arrested on March 28, 2024.

“This defendant brutally attacked three individuals in unprovoked incidents committed over the span of just a few weeks,” District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said. “Today’s sentencing ensures he is held accountable for these vicious offenses and sends a strong message that violence in Brooklyn will be met with serious consequences.”

Williams pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery last month and was sentenced by Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Jane Tully to seven years in prison and five years of post-release supervision.
