NATIONWIDE — FOLLOWING AN ORGANIC CARROT RECALL LAST WEEK due to E. coli contamination, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration expanded the list of impacted vegetables. Grimmway Farms had initiated a voluntary recall of organic carrots. The FDA on Thursday, Nov. 21, expanded the recall to include organic whole carrots under the following labels. Additional recalls are being conducted by companies that used or repackaged these recalled carrots. These products include Fabalish Inc. Kickin’ Carrot Falafel Bites and Whole Foods Market Organic Carrot Sticks and Organic Carrots & Celery Sticks.

Although these products should have now been removed from grocery stores or expired, they may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. THE FDA’s investigation of the E.coli outbreak continues.
