Second round of Brooklyn Marine Terminal workshops set for Dec. 5 and 16
BROOKLYN WATERFRONT — A SECOND ROUND OF PUBLIC WORKSHOPS on the Brooklyn Marine Terminal Project — a multi-million dollar plan allowing the city to redevelop a 122-acre site that runs along the Columbia Waterfront District and Red Hook — will take place Thursday, Dec. 5 (virtual) and Monday, Dec. 16 (in person), the NYC Economic Development Corporation said in a release Thursday. These workshops, which will cover the same material, will provide an opportunity to share updates on the process, review engagement findings to date, discuss existing conditions and land uses, and explore precedents that highlight various land-use opportunities, EDC said. The in-person workshop will take place at Sacred Hearts – St. Stephen, 125 Summit Street, Red Hook. The EDC envisions transforming the site into a modern maritime port and mixed-use community site.
