Domino Park’s ice skating rink to open next week
It will arrive in time for the holiday season.
WILLIAMSBURG — Two Trees Management is opening Williamsburg’s first waterfront ice-skating rink in Domino Park, along with the development and management company’s other holiday programming at the recently completed Domino Square.
“With the opening of the first ice rink on the Williamsburg waterfront, we’re providing an unforgettable winter experience against the breathtaking backdrop of the Manhattan skyline,” said Jed Walentas, principal at Two Trees Management. “As the Square transforms into a winter wonderland this season, we have no doubt this new public space will continue to be well received by the local community.”
The rink is 7,100 square feet, with a capacity for 200 skaters. The rink is located at 15 River St., accessible by both car and public transportation. Food and beverage options are available nearby at Danny Meyer’s Tacocina shack, Mekelberg’s artisanal sandwiches and beers and North Brooklyn’s beloved Roberta’s pizza.
The rink opens the week of Nov. 25, and the rink will be open Monday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Ice skating at Domino Park will be open through early spring 2025, and more holiday programming will be announced soon.
The rink is available to rent for corporate events or holiday parties, which includes private access to the rink with a two-hour booking minimum, ice skate rentals, a DJ, custom swag and catering options from the nearby vendors like Roberta’s and Fini Pizza.
New York residents with a New York identification will be able to skate at a discounted price of $12 on weekdays and $16 on weekends and holidays. Standard tickets are $18 on weekdays and $22 on weekends and holidays. Skates are available to rent for an additional $12 and limited skate aids are available for $12. Every Wednesday, the rink will offer family days with half-priced admission and skate rentals.
