Brooklyn man arrested for animal cruelty in death of dog

CROWN HEIGHTS — A BROOKLYN MAN was arrested on Monday for allegedly throwing a young pit bull off a 14th floor balcony at Montgomery Street and Bedford Avenue on Nov. 1, according to News12. Police told the news outlet that Alberto Morris, 33, got into an argument with one of the building’s residents, and during the dispute, threw the resident’s dog off the balcony, causing its death.

Morris was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated cruelty against animals — and is out on supervised release. To report animal abuse in progress, call 911 immediately.
