Police still seeking group in anti-Palestine attack
FORT GREENE – THE NYPD’S HATE Crime Task Force has issued a second request for information over an incident that occurred shortly before midnight on Friday, Oct. 25, when a group of unknown individuals engaged a 31-year-old man and 32-year-old woman in a verbal dispute near the Brooklyn Commons (formerly MetroTech) on Flatbush Avenue Extension. The group made anti-Palestinian statements and punched both victims multiple times in the face before fleeing to parts unknown. The woman sustained serious physical injury to one of her eyes and the man sustained a laceration to the face; both victims were transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Images released by the police showed the suspects to be a group of male youth in formal clothing.
