Organic whole carrots in bags not indicating best-if-used by dates and organic baby carrots with best-if-used-by-dates ranging from Sept. 11 through Nov. 12, are among those being recalled. They were in stock at retail stores from August 14 through Oct. 23. These products may have been contaminated with Shiga toxin-producing E. Coli. Affected products  were sold at Grimmway Farms, Sprouts, Trader Joe’s, Wegman’s. Whole Foods, Target, Kroger and Harris Teeter. Even though the best-if-used-by dates may have expired on some of these products, they might still be in consumers’ refrigerators.
