Police release photo of man suspected of assaulting MTA conductor in Downtown Brooklyn
DOWNTOWN — POLICE HAVE RELEASED a surveillance photo of a man suspected of throwing an object at the face of an MTA conductor on a train in Downtown Brooklyn, injuring her. On Wednesday, Oct. 23, at roughly 4:28 p.m., the 29-year-old female MTA conductor was on duty on the northbound G train at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station when the man threw the object at her face, and then fled. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported by EMS to Mount Sinai Queens in stable condition. The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants. MTA said that its internal data showed that just 11% of workers have reported incidents of assault or harassment since 2021.
