Police identify suspect in stabbing death of 21-year-old in Clinton Hill playground

CLINTON HILL — POLICE HAVE IDENTIFIED the man suspected of stabbing a man to death in Brooklyn’s Steuben Park as Lewis Aranguren, 23. The NYPD released two photos of Aranguren — one with his current blond hair, and one with black hair taken about five months ago. The victim, Daniel Becerra Izarra, 21, was discovered — unconscious and unresponsive with a stab wound to the abdomen — in the playground on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at roughly 8:45 a.m. Izarra was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. His address is listed as the site of a migrant tent city on Randall’s Island.
