Elected officials join veterans for Appreciation Day at Il Centro

BENSONHURST – CITY COUNCILMEMBER SUSAN ZHUANG AND ASSEMBLYMEMBER WILLIAM COLTON WILL OBSERVE A VETERANS APPRECIATION DAY, joining the Federation of Italian American Organizations of Brooklyn (FIAO) and the Chinese American Social Services Center Wednesday evening, Nov. 13, at Il Centro from 6-8 p.m. Dozens of veterans who served the United States will be honored.

“Our veterans are a national treasure,” said Colton. “Every one of them has put his or her life on the line for our country, and should be saluted for their bravery and dedication, not only on Veterans Day but throughout the year.”

Zhuang added, “Our veterans have sacrificed so much to safeguard our freedoms and we must do everything we can to honor their service.”
