Body found on Coney Island beach
CONEY ISLAND — A BODY WAS FOUND on a Coney Island beach early Monday morning by a Parks Dept. employee, according to the NYPD. The body is believed to belong to a man in his 40s or 50s, and was recovered on the shore between West 24th and West 25th streets. The body was found without a shirt, but with blue jeans and sneakers. A black jacket was also located nearby.
“Speechless!” a resident told News12. The NYPD has not confirmed whether or not foul play was involved; the investigation is ongoing.
