Mary’s Bar, local LGBTQ+ Irish pub, to close at the end of the month

GREENPOINT — THE OWNERS OF MARY’S Bar, a local queer pub hangout, are shutting the doors of the bar at the end of November 2024, according to Greenpointers, after opening just 18 months ago. Mary’s is run by the same people who operate Ginger’s, a lesbian bar in Park Slope. The owner team has said they plan to reopen the bar elsewhere; Greenpointers also reports that a new queer-focused business may be coming to the space soon.

“Your queer laughter, love, and memories have filled our hearts and this space with magic, and we can’t thank you enough for all the incredible nights we’ve shared,” wrote Mary’s Bar on Instagram.
